Recall of InSinkErator garbage disposal unit

InSinkErator (UK) are recalling their sink garbage disposal unit. A potential safety issue has been identified with the product where damage to the air switch or improper installation of the disposal unit can result in a potential fire hazard. The affected products were manufactured and sold between November 2012 and January 2015.

 

What to do:

Please do not continue to use this product. Consumers in possession of these affected products should contact InSinkErator for a free replacement air switch kit. The replacement kit will provide instructions on how it can be installed by the homeowner.
