SEAT Ireland recalls Leon, Toledo, Ibiza and Mii

August 9, 2016

SEAT Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Leon, Toledo, Ibiza and Mii.  The manufacturing period extends from 25/11/2015 until 14/04/2016.

On vehicles with a manual child lock of a certain production period the lever of the child lock can break because it was damaged during the production process.  As a result, an activated child lock can be unnoticeably switched off, especially in the case of strong jolts.  The door can then be opened from the inside putting rear seat occupants at risk.

There are 459 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

SEAT Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest authorised SEAT Service Centre who will carry out the check and if needed the rectification, free of charge.

You can also contact SEAT Ireland directly on: 1850 812 763.
