Subaru Ireland Limited recalls certain Subaru passenger vehicles

Subaru Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Subaru passenger vehicles.
A safety issue has been identified, whereby it is possible that there is a defect in the gas generator of the passenger airbag which may lead to the uncontrolled release of loose metal fragments when the airbag is triggered. This can cause injury to passengers.
The below table provides information of all the affected vehicles, the year they were produced, and how many affected vehicles are in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do
Subaru Ireland Limited will be writing directly to those consumers affected by this recall to arrange to have the vehicle inspected and parts replaced where necessary.
The letter will advise vehicle owners to contact their nearest Subaru Dealer.
