Suzuki Cars (Ireland) Limited recalls certain ‘Swift’ and ‘Swift Sport’ passenger vehicles

Suzuki Cars (Ireland) Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Swift’ and ‘Swift Sport’ passenger vehicles. The affected vehicles were produced between 2017 and 2019.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby it is possible that due to improper software of SDM (airbag controller), that the unintended activation of side airbags, curtain airbags and seatbelt pretensioner may occur when the rear door is slammed shut.

This recall affects 419 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Suzuki Cars (Ireland) Limited have written directly to all customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts will be carried out.
