Toyota Corolla, Yaris and Avensis

Toyota Ireland is carrying out an inspection on certain Corolla, Yaris and Avensis models.

On certain models produced between November 2000 and March 2004, the passenger front air bag could deploy abnormally in a crash which could possibly lead to injury or thermal damage on part of the interior compartment which may lead to a fire.

There are approximately 22,000 vehicles affected in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Toyota Ireland to customers informing them of this inspection.  The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota dealer who will arrange to do the required check and if necessary a refit free of charge. You can also contact Toyota Ireland directly on 01-419 0222
