Toyota recall Corolla, RAV4, Auris and Yaris models

Toyota is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Corolla, RAV4, Auris and Yaris models manufactured between September 2006 and December 2008.

This recall affects the driver’s side power-window master switch which may experience a ‘notchy’ or sticking feeling during operation.

If this happens, do not apply any product to lubricate the switch. This could cause the switch to overheat and melt.

This recall affects 36,093 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Toyota Ireland to customers informing them of the recall.

The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota dealer who will arrange to do the required check and repair free of charge.
