Toyota recalls Yaris models
December 5, 2014
Toyota Ireland has issued a voluntary recall of certain Yaris vehicles produced between December 2002 and December 2003. This is a separate recall from the one involving the passenger air bag initiated in June of this year.
The recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the driver airbag. The driver airbag could deploy abnormally in a crash which could possibly lead to injury.
There are approximately 25 vehicles affected in Ireland.
What to do
Toyota Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
You can get more information from Toyota Ireland directly on 01-419 0222
