Volkswagen Group Ireland recall Skoda Karoq and Octavia

Volkswagen Group Ireland is recalling Skoda Karoq and Octavia models produced between May 2018 and August 2018.

The recall is due to a rear seat backrest which may be defective, with the fitting for the headrest not meeting requirements. The support and protection provided by the headrest in an accident could therefore be compromised.

The recall affects 163 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent to owners of the affected vehicles, customers will be asked to arrange an appointment to have the required work completed at their authorised service agent.

Any work carried out as part of this recall will be completed free of charge.
