Volvo Car Ireland Limited recalls certain passenger vehicles (Automatic Emergency Brake System)

Volvo Car Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of a number of Volvo passenger vehicles which are listed below;

Volvo Models: XC60, V60CC, S60, XC90, XC40, S90, V90CC, V60 & V90

The vehicles in question were manufactured between November 2018 and March 2020. There are 1550 vehicles affected on the Irish market.

Volvo Car Ireland Limited has established that due to a software issue, the Automatic Emergency Brake System, a function of the IntelliSafe system, may not always engage which could increase the risk of a collision. 

 

What to do:

Volvo Car Ireland Limited will be writing directly to those consumers affected by this recall.

The letter will advise affected vehicle owners to contact their nearest Volvo dealer or authorised repairer where the software will be inspected and updated.
