Volvo Recalls XC60 Model
February 6, 2019
Volvo Car Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of XC60 model vehicles manufactured between January 2017 and October 2018.
Under certain conditions in cold climates, the tailgate lifting arms may freeze. If this occurs, this could cause unusual noises, a loss of function, or separation of the tailgate lifting arms when operating the tailgate. This could potentially result in complete separation of the tailgate lifting arms, which could cause the internal spring to detach in a rearward direction with significant force.
This recall affects 459 vehicles in Ireland.
What to do:
Volvo Car Ireland Limited will be writing directly to those customers affected in this recall to arrange to have their affected parts in their vehicles replaced.
The letter will advise consumers affected by this voluntary recall to contact their nearest Volvo Dealer. Volvo Car Limited Ireland can be contacted on: 01-4631220
