Whirlpool: Hotpoint and Indesit Dishwasher Safety Notice Reminder
February 25, 2019
Previously, Safety Notices have been issued for the Hotpoint DWF dishwashers ((Click here for original notice), Hotpoint FDW20, Hotpoint FDW60 and Hotpoint FDW65A dishwashers ((Click here for original notice) and Hotpoint/Indesit EOS dishwashers (Click here for original notice) respectively.
Whirlpool believes there may be some affected units still in use in consumers’ homes so, in addition to the steps that have previously been taken to raise awareness about these campaigns; Whirlpool will now be launching a further campaign to attempt to make contact with anyone who may still be using one of the affected models.
From Monday 25 February 2019, Whirlpool will write again to known consumers who have not responded to the previous communications, reminding them of the campaign, and informing them of the following:
“Consumers can check if their dishwasher is one of those affected by visiting
https://www.hotpointservice.ie/safety-notice-dishwasher
or by calling our hotline 1 800 804 320 ( Ireland)
Anyone who does still own an affected appliance should unplug it immediately and not use it until it has been modified by one of our engineers. The modification is provided free of charge and can be booked instantly through our customer services team.
This notice does not affect any Hotpoint [Indesit] dishwasher models on sale today.”
