Yamaha recalls certain MTT890, and Tracer 9 GT Motorcycles

Danfay Limited is carrying out a recall of the Yamaha MTT890, and Tracer 9 GT Motorcycles.

The affected products were manufactured between:
• MTT890D – 01.10.2020 to 31.01.2022.
• Tracer 9 GT – 01.01.2021 to 31.01.2022

A safety issue has been identified with the affected products, where in some circumstances, the electronic twist grip throttle may break, which can result in the twist-grip throttle not being freely movable or that it’s movement will become restricted.

There are approximately 6 units of MTT890 and 29 units of Tracer GT affected in the Republic of Ireland.

 

What to do:

Danfay Limited will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs/replacements of parts will be carried out.
